VP of Sales – Menswear

Our client, a global multi-brand lifestyle apparel brand, is seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven VP of Sales to lead the expansions into of menswear into luxury department store channels. *This is a full-time in-office position. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market share across wholesale channels.Drive long-term growth initiatives aligned with overall business objectives and brand positioning.Manage and grow relationships with major department stores and key retail partners.Ensure optimal brand placement, seasonal growth, and strong account performance across all channels.Identify and expand opportunities within specialty retail and boutique distribution channels.Develop curated distribution strategies that support premium brand positioning.Partner closely with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with the company’s long-term vision and financial objectives.Contribute to overall business planning and strategic decision-making.Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Production, and Planning teams to provide market feedback and ensure product assortments meet retailer and consumer expectations.Support alignment between product development and sales strategies.Manage sales-related budgets, including T&E, co-op marketing, and markdown allowances.Monitor profitability and maintain healthy gross margins across accounts.Analyze industry trends, competitive activity, and retail performance metrics including sell-through, turn, and margin data.Adjust strategies proactively to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 10 years of executive-level sales experience within the apparel industry.Strong background in premium contemporary, lifestyle, or fashion-driven categories preferred.Established relationships and successful business history with major department stores and key retail accounts.Strong understanding of wholesale distribution strategy and account management.Proven success growing specialty store and independent retail business.Ability to identify and develop new distribution opportunities.Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.Strong organizational and people management skills.Advanced understanding of retail analytics, including sell-through, inventory turn, and gross margin management.Ability to use data to drive strategic business decisions.Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to represent the brand in a polished, professional, and engaging manner.Ability to travel frequently for market appointments, trade shows, customer meetings, and store visitsSalary: $200k-$270k + bonus
