Project Executive - Luxury Residential Construction
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for managing a portfolio ("book of work") of high-end residential construction projects. This individual provides strategic oversight across multiple project teams and serves as the highest authority within the project structure for client-facing and operational decision-making.The Project Executive is accountable for overall client satisfaction, financial performance, project execution, and the development of project personnel. This role requires a strong balance of leadership, business acumen, and operational excellence, with a consistent focus on delivering best-in-class outcomes aligned with company standards and values.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPROJECT & FINANCIAL OVERSIGHTMaintain full responsibility for the financial health of all assigned projects, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and cost controlEnsure all subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are properly reviewed, approved, and executedProactively communicate financial impacts and budget updates to clients and stakeholdersMonitor expenditures, billing, and collections in coordination with internal teamsSCHEDULING & EXECUTIONOversee project schedules and ensure alignment with contractual milestonesConduct regular schedule reviews and assess impacts on cost and resourcesEnsure all schedule changes are communicated and approved by clients and design teamsPROCUREMENT & CONTRACT MANAGEMENTLead final negotiations and buyout of all tradesReview subcontractor proposals and provide recommendations to clients and consultantsEnsure subcontractors meet contractual obligations and performance standardsSITE & QUALITY OVERSIGHTConduct regular site visits to ensure safety, cleanliness, and quality standards are upheldMaintain strong relationships with building management, neighbors, and external stakeholdersEnsure all job sites operate in compliance with company safety and operational standardsPROJECT ADMINISTRATIONOversee all aspects of project setup, documentation, and reportingEnsure accurate maintenance of logs, correspondence, and project recordsAttend key meetings and ensure consistent communication across all project teamsEnsure timely completion of all required reporting to senior leadershipPROJECT CLOSEOUTOversee project closeout, ensuring completion of all outstanding itemsFacilitate smooth transition to Service & Maintenance teamsTEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENTLead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and project staffConduct performance evaluations and support career development initiativesFoster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvementCLIENT RELATIONS & LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENTServe as a senior representative of the company in client interactionsParticipate in Client Relations and Management Committee meetingsSupport broader company initiatives and strategic efforts as requiredREQUIREMENTSMinimum 10 years of high-end residential construction and management experienceMinimum 5 years of experience supervising and developing personnelStrong business acumen with expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecastingExceptional written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to think strategically and lead in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONSThis role operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment requiring both office-based leadership and regular on-site engagement.
