Job Description Job Title: Social Media Specialist - PublishingFLSA Status: Exempt Duration: Full timeLocation: Hybrid MTP, Inc. is seeking an initiative-taking and creative Social Media Specialist focused on Publishing to join our dynamic team, keeping in mind you will be asked in detail about the following: publishing, copyrighting, Play Dev, Play Bix Knowledge, Firebase and Flutter expertise, and OSS and Maps understanding. Role Summary:We have a world-class tech and media team, and we are looking for a creative collaborator who will be responsible for managing our client’s social media accounts, creating engaging content, and staying ahead of the latest trends. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute successful social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.Essential Duties and Tactical Daily Responsibilities: ● Content Creation: o Be an initiative-taker who proactively supports content creation. You will need strong copywriting skills and a expertise in crafting compelling captions and messages.● Trend Spotting & Integration: o Keep an eye out for trending topics and actively pitch integrating them into your content to keep it fresh and relevant.● Content Curation: o Must-have the ability to 'cut gifs' from video content and utilize various sources to create engaging content for different social media platforms.o Responsible for Owning the content calendar.● Social Media Management: o Manage and grow our social media presence across multiple platforms (Instagram, X etc.), including scheduling and publishing posts, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing performance metrics.● Stakeholder Management: o Building and maintaining multiple stakeholder relationships and pushing through approvals will be essential.● Social Media Governance: o Implement, maintain, and update our social media governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency across all channels.● Dashboard Management: o Create, maintain, and optimize dashboards to track key publication metrics, providing actionable insights to the team.● Platform Expertise: o Become a power user of our social media management system (e.g., Sprinklr), providing training and support to other team members.o Ability to navigate the Firebase platform and proficiency in running mobile and web applications.o Love of iOS, android and collaborating with developers to utilize Flutter. o Knowledge of Play Biz and its suite of tools and resourceso An understanding of the Pay Dev platform with the ability to collaborate closely with developers to guide and support them on the platform tools.o Open-Source Software and the understanding of how the distribution of open-source licenses works. o A variety of knowledge surrounding maps and their capabilities. ● Technical Troubleshooting: o Quickly identify and resolve technical issues related to social media platforms and tools, ensuring uninterrupted operations.● Collaboration & Optimization: o Work closely with social media managers, content creators, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows, ensure smooth content publishing and campaign execution, and continuously identify opportunities to streamline and automate social media operations, improving efficiency and effectiveness.● Documentation: o Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of social media processes, best practices, and guidelines.What You’re Good At: ● Strong understanding of social media platforms and their audiences (Instagram experience a must)● Excellent written and verbal communication skills● Proven ability to create engaging and creative content.● Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.● Excellent time management and organizational skills● Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)● Interest in using AI for content creation (a plus)● A deep understanding of the social media and marketing industry.● Elevated level of creativity to develop compelling and memorable content.● Strong people skills and team player mentality.● Has experience using social listening, content distribution, and management and reporting tools.● Owning social media distribution strategies including content distribution across all channels/platforms.● Excellent analytical, problem solving, and business skills.What you Contribute: ● Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, or a related field.● 5+ years of experience in the publishing industry.● 2-4 years’ experience with social media events, and user generated content● 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing or a related field● 3-5 years’ experience working with brand-owned social media channels.● Strong understanding of the publishing process, from manuscript acquisition to book production and marketing.● Experience creating content from various sources to optimize unique social strategies to drive engagement, audience acquisition and a shared voice.● Strong ability to track analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media schedules and writing captions (Publisher) for social media posts.● Expertise in research, extremely meticulous with an ability to utilize search engines for optimization and concise editing.● Excellent editorial and writing skills.● Creative Agency Experience a plus Work Environment: ● Employees will be subjected to a culture which focuses on the importance of work-life balance.
