Business Development Director - Private Equity
This role is focused specifically on the East Coast region of the United States.Key Responsibilities• Identify, engage, and develop relationships with private equity firms, portfolio executives, and adjacent industry professionals throughout the East Coast market to generate new business opportunities.• Leverage existing networks and relationships to accelerate market penetration, including mining internal relationship data and converting warm connections into active opportunities.• Provide market feedback on talent availability, competitive dynamics, buyer behavior, and regional demand to support ongoing expansion initiatives across the East Coast.• Represent the firm with professionalism, consistency, and a credible private equity–aligned presence that supports the company’s long-term brand positioning.• Travel as needed within the East Coast territory, with support from the internal team for travel coordination and planning.Ideal Candidate Profile• Experienced sales professional with established relationships across private equity, consulting, technology, or adjacent markets within the Eastern United States.• Comfortable operating in a highly entrepreneurial, performance-driven, commission-based environment.• Proven ability to generate new revenue opportunities through executive relationships, warm networks, and industry partnerships.• Strong consultative selling capabilities with the ability to represent complex, high-value services in a credible and strategic manner.• Self-directed professional who values autonomy, has the financial stability to operate within a commission-driven structure, and is motivated by long-term upside potential.• Thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys helping shape go-to-market strategy, operational processes, and regional growth initiatives.• Prior experience in IT services, consulting, executive search, or business transformation environments is strongly preferred.Growth & Future Opportunities• Opportunity to play a foundational role in expanding the company’s East Coast presence and overall national growth strategy.• Successful individuals may grow into broader regional leadership, team-building, or strategic business development responsibilities.• Participation in the company’s long-term growth initiatives, including thought leadership efforts, brand expansion, and potential future liquidity or exit opportunities.
