Confidential call/text Alex at 314-787-6211.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead operations for a growing industrial diesel power generation division. This leadership role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of generator systems and a proven ability to manage technicians, improve service processes, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will oversee daily field service activities, manage technician performance, coordinate scheduling, and serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and project execution. You'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, responsiveness, and reputation of the service department.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise a team of field service technicians performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and natural gas generator systems up to 2MW.Manage scheduling, dispatch, and workflow to maximize technician efficiency and customer satisfaction.Oversee ATS, switchgear, and control system service projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.Act as the technical escalation point for complex troubleshooting and in-field issues.Conduct job site visits, technician ride-alongs, and safety audits to monitor and support field operations.Review work orders, time logs, and parts usage for accuracy and completeness.Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of service technicians.Ensure the department is aligned with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.Work cross-functionally with sales, parts, and project teams to coordinate service support and warranty work.Provide input on service revenue targets, KPIs, and strategic planning.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in industrial power generation, including generator service, maintenance, and repair.Prior experience in a lead technician or management role strongly preferred.Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, generator controls, ATS/switchgear, and load bank testing.Familiarity with OEM platforms such as Cummins, CAT, Generac, Kohler, MTU, etc.Proven leadership and personnel management skills.Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.Computer proficiency in service software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.What We OfferCompetitive base salary plus bonus structureCompany vehicle or allowanceFull benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)Paid time off and holidaysLaptop, phone, and uniform providedOngoing manufacturer training and career advancement opportunitiesStable year-round work in a high-demand, essential industryReady to take the lead in an essential and growing sector?Confidential call/text Alex at 314-787-6211 to learn more or apply.J-18808-Ljbffr
