You will be encouraged to lead software programs, complex solutions and releases in close collaboration with multi-functional teams spanning geographic regions, product areas and functions. Who You’ll Work With You will be part of the Global Business Operations (GBO) Engineering Operations PMO Team that is responsible for leading software projects for the Cisco routing, optical and automation portfolio. We are looking for a top-tier Program Manager to contribute to the delivery of innovative software solutions within our fast-paced CNE group. The CNE group is at the forefront of developing products and network orchestration and automation solutions that power the largest networks in the world. You will be a self-starter; willing to roll-up your sleeves to get things done. You will be an authority in orchestration, able to balance various priorities at the same time. You have a keen ability to work with a broad range of multi-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Vendors, Customer Experience, Technical Support, Documentation and frequently with peers within PMO teams. You will have the ability to collate information across disparate activities and distill it into clear communications for senior leaders and executives. You will have the ability to adapt to change, proactively handle risks, clear roadblocks, and drive outcomes with product management and engineering. You will be a problem-solver; someone who is adept at working with ambiguity and dealing with complex problems in an evolving landscape You will be a role model for Relationship Management and have the ability to drive alignment with technology and business goals. Responsibilities Work in an agile/waterfall environment, collaborating with engineering and product teams to plan requirements, develop timelines, identify, and mitigate risks to product deliveries. Work with Multi-functional Program Teams, drive technical tradeoff discussions in collaboration with multi-functional leaders across Cisco. Drive process improvements and implementation of best practices and standards. Find opportunities to optimize program planning and development. Guide to support other Program Managers in driving end-to-end engineering planning & development across multiple product and engineering teams. Collaborate with customers, partners, and team members across Cisco globally. Maintain tight control of multi-functional dependencies and program execution, ensuring completion of project on schedule, with quality and within budget constraints. Track critical metrics, work, achievements, action items, technical dependencies, risks and mitigation plans across programs and solutions. Use in-depth knowledge of industry-standard software quality measurements, defect tracking and categorization methodologies, testing methodologies to track quality. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and other related field. 5+ Years validated experience as a Technical Program Manager, leading and delivering end-to-end complex technical programs in an Agile/Waterfall software development environment. Proven experience in product development lifecycle management, SDLC Methodologies, Cloud/SaaS release management/deployment and pipeline coordination, Cloud / SaaS KPIs (availability, SLAs, etc), familiarity with cloud security compliance (like CASPR), software release management, software product engineering, integration and tracking execution with JIRA. Networking domain knowledge. Hands on experience with collaboration tools Like Jira, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, Project Plan, SharePoint, confluence. Basic coding, scripting knowledge. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving program issues and driving end- to- End Program Execution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong Presentation Skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Executive presence/good communication skills to establish rapport with engineering collaborators. Ability to make informed decisions and prioritize tasks based on business objectives and constraints. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
