Industrial Maintenance Manager
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced food production facility. This individual will oversee all maintenance personnel, preventive maintenance initiatives, reliability improvements, capital projects, and equipment uptime efforts across the plant.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within a food, beverage, packaging, or other highly automated manufacturing environment and possess a hands-on understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.This role will play a critical part in improving plant reliability, reducing downtime, driving preventive maintenance compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the plant maintenance team including Maintenance Supervisors, Technicians, and ContractorsDevelop and drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, uptime, and reliabilityManage preventive and predictive maintenance programs through CMMS systemsOversee troubleshooting and repair of production equipment including:ConveyorsPackaging equipmentMotors & drivesPneumatic & hydraulic systemsPumpsBoilersPLC-controlled automation systemsMonitor equipment performance metrics including downtime, MTTR, and PM completion ratesPartner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadershipAssist with capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and process upgradesManage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and outside vendor relationshipsEnsure compliance with all OSHA, GMP, FDA, SQF, and food safety standardsSupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring equipment failuresProvide coaching, training, and development for maintenance personnelParticipate in plant leadership meetings and help drive operational excellence initiativesQualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent maintenance leadership experience considered5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within manufacturingPrevious experience within food, beverage, packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferredStrong knowledge of:Preventive Maintenance systemsCMMS platformsPLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)Electrical systems up to 480VMechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsExperience leading multi-craft maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with GMP, HACCP, FDA, and food safety standardsStrong troubleshooting, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and drive urgency within operationsPreferred ExperienceReliability Engineering or TPM experienceExperience improving PM compliance and reducing reactive maintenance environmentsContinuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing exposureCapital project management experienceExperience with high-speed packaging or automated production equipmentBenefitsCompetitive salary + performance bonusMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off & HolidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesStable and growing manufacturing environment
