This position is available for a candidate looking to work in a remote role for Astec Industries Inc.ABOUT THE TECHNICAL SALES POSITIONTechnical Sales role will be responsible for the sales strategy for Astec. This position will work across operating regions and collaborate with all functional areas to promote our products through a multi-channel network. Visit job sites to validate product performance and provide technical content in applications. Collaborate with operating regions to better understand customer, market, and product potential.Key Deliverables of Technical SalesProvide support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipmentEstablish rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand services requirementsPrepare cost estimates by studying all customer related documentsCollect, analyze and summarize sale information and engineering and application trendsDetermine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies or service applicationsKey Activities & Responsibilities of this Technical Sales RoleIdentify, develop and own technical sales strategyWork with all functional areas to successfully achieve strategic and growth sales initiativesAssist with organizing MS product application success storiesStay up to date on market place and provide competitive analysisAssist with establishing and developing technical sales toolsRegional product accountability to include minimum stocking levels for market potentialSupport Astec Industries' core values, mission statement and vision statementTo be successful in this Technical Sales role, your experience and competencies are:Ability to lead strategy executionAbility to influence and drive change required to achieve goalsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with cross-functional teamsExcellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation and leadership skills are requiredExcellent time management skills are required in order to effectively cover a multi-channel networkAbility to understand and explain product benefits and value propositionMust be able to organize and manage multiple projects and prioritiesStrong sales understanding with products or similar experience, as well as market channels for Astec Industries' businessAbility to travel overnight and work long hours is required.
