Senior Java Software Developer, Technical Lead - Remote (WFH)

About the Opportunity:The Senior Java Software Developer, Technical Lead leads the application development team for the CMS Drug Data Processing System and Payment Reconciliation System. This role ensures sprint-level delivery, mentors developers, governs code quality, and oversees development of key system components and business rules. It plays a critical part in maintaining Agile practices, automated testing standards, and deployment through the CMS CI/CD pipeline.3. Responsibilities:Lead sprint-level application development and manage developer workload in coordination with leadership.Develop and maintain invoice, dispute, outlier, and reconciliation systems; oversee business rule implementation.Enforce code quality standards including automated test coverage and secure code reviews.Deliver code through the CMS CI/CD pipeline and coordinate releases with CMS change control.Mentor Senior and mid-level developers, conduct code reviews, and reduce technical debt.Support AI-assisted development under CMS governance and contribute to AI use case documentation.Participate in planning, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder presentations.4. Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field.Minimum 8 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a technical or team lead role.Proficiency in Java and Python development.Experience with AI-assisted development tools and Agentic AI.Familiarity with CI/CD tools including GitHub, Jenkins/CloudBees, JFrog Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, and Snyk.Experience with Python test frameworks and database testing; enforcing 80% test coverage.Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, and API Gateway.Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.Ability to pass CMS and internal background checks for public trust.5.
