This position requires expert-level knowledge and proven leadership in managing multi-million dollar claim portfolios, directing vendor partnerships, driving data-driven decision making, and establishing best-in-class programs that balance employee welfare with fiscal responsibility. The role serves as the organization's subject matter expert and primary decision-maker for all workers' compensation matters.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive workers' compensation strategy aligned with organizational risk management and human capital objectivesLead strategic planning initiatives to optimize program outcomes, reduce total cost of risk, and enhance employee experiencePresent quarterly business reviews and annual strategic plans to senior leadership and executive committeeAdvise executive leadership on emerging trends, legislative changes, and strategic opportunities in workers' compensation managementLead RFP processes for TPA selection, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and implementation oversightLead annual insurance renewal process, including carrier negotiations, program design, and premium allocation strategies, analyzing total cost of risk and implement strategic initiatives to drive measurable cost reductionsDirect investigation and defense strategies for litigated claims in coordination with legal counsel and VP of SafetyReview and challenge TPA recommendations, ensuring alignment with organizational philosophy and financial objectivesEngage with field leadership to ensure program effectiveness across all locations and business units, building consensus and driving organization change to support program initiatives and process improvements.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong ethics and integrity; ability to maintain confidential informationStrong problem solving, conflict resolution and collaboration skills.Ability to effectively influence stakeholders to drive sound decision making.Experience driving alignment and adoption of cross-functional Human Resource programs, processes, and initiatives desiredDemonstrated ability to deal directly with client leads to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.QualificationsBachelor's in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field10+ years in workers' compensation claims management experience including managing vendor partnerships (TPAs.)Demonstrated success leading vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management#LI-HybridAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.UGI Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
