Position Title:Department: Field EHS Compliance SpecialistEnvironment Health and Safety (EHS)Location:DJ Basin, Colorado Reports to:EHS ManagerSalary Range:$100,000 - $115,000Job SummaryThe Field EHS Compliance Specialist supports the environmental, health and safety, compliance across field operations in Colorado. This is a hands-on, field-based role (approximately 80% field / 20% office) working closely with EHS, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. This role focuses on managing and executing field EHS programs, supporting regulatory requirements, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining a strong field presence to drive safety and environmental performance.Essential FunctionsField Operations & CompliancePerform Bradenhead sampling in accordance with regulatory requirementsSupport:ECD/engine testingGas and liquids samplingManage and lead LDAR program coordination and field executionSupport stormwater and SPCC compliance efforts in the fieldAssist with interim and final reclamation activitiesConduct routine field inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsField Support & ExecutionCoordinate with vendors to execute field work and ensure compliance with company standardsPerform minor maintenance and troubleshooting in the field as neededAssist with general location upkeep and housekeepingSupport field-based environmental, regulatory, and operational projectsComplete and document field activities, sampling, and observations accuratelyPromote safe work practices and actively participate in safety initiativesSupport incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsAssist with field training, safety meetings, and safety stand-downs as neededIdentify hazards and work with operations to implement practical mitigation measuresSkills And KnowledgeFamiliarity with ECMC and APCD rules and reporting requirementsWorking knowledge of:Stormwater management requirementsSPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) programsExperience with:Bradenhead Testing and SamplingECD/engine testing LDAR program support and coordinationInterim and final reclamation activitiesAbility to coordinate and manage field vendors effectivelyAbility to perform minor maintenance and hands-on field tasksStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective communication and ability to work cross-functionallyQualifications5+ years of experience in oil & gas field EHS or operations supportExperience working within Colorado regulatory frameworksOther RequirementsValid Colorado driver’s license with clean driving record Willingness to travel extensively within Colorado for site inspectionsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsThis position is critical for maintaining the safety culture within oil and gas operations while ensuring full compliance with environmental laws.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilitiesWork environmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Majority of work will be split between 80% field and 20% office, outdoors under variable weather conditions.
