(Remote)Airframe Analysis Engineer

Job Overview An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full time direct or contract position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and experience in airframe structural analysis. In this job your primary responsibility will be classical hand calculations and finite element analysis for primary and secondary structure.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical aircraft hand stress analysis methodsPerform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customerEnsure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validatedPerform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findingsLiaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customersMaintain strong communication with internal project team and customerManage your own project work and provide mentorship to othersRequired QualificationsBachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalentSeven or more years of experience performing airframe analysis and possess strong technical abilitySolid understanding of structural load paths and failure modesHand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities using Femap/Nastran (FEA)Static and fatigue analysis experienceComposites analysis experienceAbility to work independently, while adhering to strict timelinesMentoring experienceExperience taking control of a task from start to finishMust have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environmentMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have excellent computer skillsLegal authorization to work in the US requiredTravel to customer and work site locations as requiredPreferred QualificationsVBA or similar programming skill setSalary and Benefits We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $85,000 to $125,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
