Staff Accountant

We are a well-established CPA firm seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on providing accounting, audit, and advisory services to our diverse client base. Our firm does not engage in tax preparation, allowing our accountants to specialize in financial reporting, compliance, and consulting services across various industries. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in conducting financial audits, including planning, testing, and reporting audit findings. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper accounting controls and procedures. Perform variance analyses and provide insights into financial performance and trends for clients. Collaborate with clients to streamline accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closings. Support clients in the implementation of new accounting standards and compliance regulations. Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports for external stakeholders, including investors and lenders. Participate in internal and external client meetings to discuss financial data and provide professional advice. Provide clients with recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, internal controls, and financial reporting. Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and industry regulations to ensure best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with audit, financial analysis, and compliance services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with clients. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
