CNC Lathe Setup Machinist

Job DutiesResponsibilities and Duties:• Sets Up, edit programs, and run parts on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls (G and M Code)• Reads and interprets technical drawings / Blueprints• Implements and maintains set up sheets for Manufacturing• Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program• Understanding of work holding• Collaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, and Machinists on new product Introduction andcontinuous improvement activities• Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise• Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as neededMinimum Education RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum Experience RequiredQualifications and Skills:• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Set Up Operator, programming a plus• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints• Understanding of the different tooling types, speeds, and feeds• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System• Ability to work independently and stick to a deadlineShiftFirst (Day)Number of Openings1Compensation$25.00 - $40.00 / HourlyPostal Code55369Place of WorkOn-siteRequisition ID12557Job TypeFull TimeJob BenefitsBenefit packages are available and can be discussed during the interview process.Application InstructionsPlease email your resume to team@platinumstaffing.net and include the position you are interested in.
