Warehouse Packer

JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Packer is an entry-level position responsible for efficiently packing products into cases while adhering to quality and safety standards. This role involves operating packaging equipment, performing routine quality checks on materials, and executing equipment changeovers. The Packer will also maintain a clean work area, conduct sanitation tasks, and perform manual palletizing to support production needs. Key Responsibilities • Construct boxes and pack bags into cases, either manually or with automated machinery. • Perform regular quality checks on labels, boxes, code dates, and seals to ensure product standards are met. • Execute equipment changeovers, including dry and wet cleanings. • Clear product jams on automated equipment and conveyors. • Support the repacking of cases rejected by automated equipment and pack product overflows. • Perform manual palletizing tasks when necessary to support production needs. • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area, adhering to all safety protocols. • Conduct sanitation tasks as required. • Communicate any food safety outages. • Perform any other duties as assigned by a manager. Required Qualifications • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Good communicator with strong teamwork skills. • Reliable attendance history. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist. • Capacity to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Capability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods. • Must wear steel-toe boots, as this is a requirement to enter the facility. Education: High School or equivalent
