Architect

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and innovative Staff Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, as well as proficiency in modern design software. The Architect will collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring creative visions to life while adhering to project timelines and budgets. This position is ideal for an emerging architect who is interested in leadership, business development, and eventually becoming a partner in the firm. You will work directly with senior leadership, gaining exposure to the business side of architecture while contributing to impactful projects. Duties - Collaborate with senior architect, interior designer and project manager on the design and development of architectural projects, from concept through construction. - Participate in client meetings, presenting design ideas and addressing project goals. - Prepare and develop architectural drawings, specifications, renderings and construction documents. Oversee production staff's development of specifications, renderings and construction drawings. - Research building codes, zoning laws, and other technical data to determine project feasibility and compliance. - Assist in the coordination of consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders. - Participate in leadership development opportunities with a view toward future firm ownership. - Engage in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm's portfolio. Skills - Proficiency in architectural design software. - Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and practices. - Project scheduling abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Business development acumen to identify opportunities for growth within the firm. - Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. - Professional experience in an architectural firm. - Licensed or on the path to licensure.
