If you have hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing buses, trucks, or heavy equipment - and you're ready to grow your career - we want to hear from you.ProfileWhat You'll DoDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles and equipment with minimal supervisionInspect and service brake, fuel, emission, driveline, steering, and suspension systemsPerform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting using tools like Cummins Insite and Allison DOCComplete preventative maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, CNG inspections, battery service, etc.Repair/maintain engines (gas, diesel, alternative fuel), transmissions, differentials, cooling systemsInstall, repair, and adjust ADA equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, gauges, and safety devicesConduct emission diagnostics and repairsPerform light fabrication: welding, grinding, solderingMaintain accurate electronic repair ordersPerform road calls and assist lower-level techniciansTest-drive buses, trucks, and support vehicles to confirm repairsBackfill supervisory duties as neededWhat You NeedEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED1-2 years vocational/technical schooling or equivalent experience1+ year progressive heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience (preferred)Licenses & CertificationsCDL Class B with air brakes & passenger endorsements (required)EPA 609 Air Conditioning CertificationASE Certifications: Minimum of 3 H or T series; at least 2 must be H2, T2, T4, or H4SkillsAbility to read/interpret schematics & technical manualsExperience with diagnostic software and electronic repair systemsIntermediate computer skills (Microsoft applications)Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be able to operate in a 24/7 environment (shift flexibility)Tools & RequirementsMust provide own hand toolsMust pass DOT physical, drug/alcohol testing, and background screeningNo DUI/DWI, assault, or controlled substance convictions within the past 5 yearsSign-On BonusMechanic B: $1,50050% after 60 days50% after 90 daysWhy You'll Love Working With UsStable, long-term career pathTraining and growth opportunitiesWork with a supportive and skilled maintenance teamCompetitive pay and benefitsPay: 38.49 per hourSoldiers: If you are Army Reserve, Army National Guard or transitioning from Active Duty be sure to register today with the Army PAYS Program at www.armypays.com ;Benefits:We offer competitive compensation and benefits (which vary based on role, location, and business), including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid holiday/vacation.
