HR Generalist

Description:The HR Generalist partners closely with the HR Director to support business objectives, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and create a positive employee experience across the organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee support, and assisting with leave of absence, workers compensation, and safety-related processes.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & OnboardingManage full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, interviewing, job postings, career fairs, and trade school outreach.Coordinate candidate selection process, background checks, and offer letters.Lead onboarding activities and conduct new hire orientation.Maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.Employee Support & HR OperationsServe as a resource to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and HRIS questions.Maintain accurate employee records and process employment-related paperwork in Paylocity HRIS.Support benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and employee benefit inquiries.Participate in HR projects and process improvements that enhance efficiency and employee engagement.Compliance, Safety & Leave AdministrationProvide administrative support related to FMLA, workers compensation, accident reporting, and insurance claims.Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures.Support safety initiatives and documentation as needed.QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.3+ years of progressive HR experience preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel requiredExperience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS systems required.Knowledge of employment laws, FMLA, workers compensation, and HR best practices preferred.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Highly responsive with high level of urgency.
