Performance Modeling Engineer
Join a small, high-caliber engineering team building next-generation compute technology from the ground up. You'll develop the simulation infrastructure that drives architectural decisions, enabling rapid hardware/software co-design and shaping the future of our platform. What You'll DoDesign and build high-performance processor simulators, including performance and functional models.Develop accurate models of microarchitectural components such as pipelines, memory systems, interconnects, and hardware accelerators.Generate, curate, and analyze workloads and execution traces to enable meaningful performance evaluation.Turn simulation data into actionable insights that guide architecture and design trade-offs.Work closely with architecture, hardware, compiler, and software engineers to rapidly iterate on new ideas.Own critical simulation infrastructure end-to-end, from early prototypes through production-quality tools.Help establish the technical direction and engineering culture in a fast-moving, early-stage startup. What We're Looking For5+ years of experience building complex software systems, ideally in computer architecture, systems software, silicon, or EDA.Strong C++ and Python skills, with experience working in large or performance-critical codebases.Deep experience with processor simulation, architectural modeling, or performance analysis, particularly building simulators or modeling frameworks from scratch.Solid understanding of modern processor architecture and microarchitecture.Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking ownership, and making technical decisions with minimal process.Excited by the pace, autonomy, and impact of building foundational technology in an early-stage startup.
