Senior Mobile Equipment Operator

Job Summary:Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Senior Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Canal Point, FL plant. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment used in mining. Equipment operated may include bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. The operator will perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling in support of plant and production objectives.Day to DayActively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.The ability to operate at least 3 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)Must have excavator and dozer experienceOperate equipment in quarry or production.May be involved in safety committees or initiativesIdentifies any safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and any other areas where safety can be improvedPerform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performanceCommunicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all plant traffic controlsMaintain strong communications with plant team members, supervisors and customers servicedPerform other duties or responsibilities as assignedAbout YouPrompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, Team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as requiredThe ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)High school diploma or GED equivalentA minimum of 2 years of experienceWorking ConditionsWhile most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.BenefitsArcosa is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
