This role works closely with hospital liaisons, schools, mental health centers, families, and community partners to ensure coordinated care and individualized treatment for each client.Therapists play a critical role in helping youth navigate trauma, build resilience, and achieve healthier futures.KVC employees operate through a set of guiding values:The heart of our work is helping peopleOur character is built on authenticity and compassionFamily connection drives our cultureCollaboration fuels our improvementUrgency and innovation mark our approachDiverse perspectives are key to our progressTeam members are expected to model positive behavior for children and families, focus on solutions, and build upon the strengths of every individual they serve.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide individual, family, and group therapy for children and adolescentsDeliver trauma-informed case management servicesParticipate in a multidisciplinary treatment teamComplete intake assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summariesMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policiesMaintain comprehensive knowledge of each youth's history, treatment plan, and discharge planBe available for consultation on a 24/7 on-call basis as requiredCollaborate with schools, hospitals, guardians, MCOs, and community partnersFacilitate treatment review meetings with guardians and service providersProvide crisis intervention using approved tools and techniquesParticipate in utilization review and communication with insurance providers when neededMaintain compliance with state, federal, licensure, and accrediting standardsMaintain an up-to-date employee profile in KVC's HRIS systemPromote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youthAdditional duties may be assigned based on program development and staff qualifications.Professional ExpectationsDemonstrate respect for colleagues, families, and community stakeholders regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ethnicityServe as a positive role model for youth and familiesMaintain working knowledge of and adherence to all organizational policies and proceduresCollaborate effectively with team members and community partnersMinimum RequirementsAge RequirementAll employees must be at least 21 years of ageEducationMaster's Degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Counseling, or related behavioral health field from an accredited institutionLicensureMust hold or be eligible for professional licensure in the state(s) where services are provided, including one of the following:LMSW, LSW, LSCSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or other equivalent state-recognized clinical licenseAdditional RequirementsValid driver's license and auto insuranceIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and OutlookExperience and SkillsMinimum of one year of supervised experience providing therapy to children and/or adolescentsExperience delivering individual, family, and group counselingCoursework in child and adolescent developmentKnowledge of trauma-informed care practicesStrong clinical documentation and communication skillsAbility to collaborate within multidisciplinary teamsPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands listed below represent those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
