Welder Fabricator WeldingNSC Staffing has immediate openings welders/fabricators/fitters to join our expanding team in Wayland, Michigan. Shift: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30am Friday: 7:00am-3:00pm Pay: $20-28/hour Candidates will be building world-class agricultural feed trailers in a clean, beautiful, new 36,000 square feet facility!This position is a good fit for individuals who are well acquainted with MIG welding from entry level to advanced.This is not an assembly line manufacturing facility.Potential principal duties and responsibilities:Read trailer specification sheet to understand customer requirementsMeasure auger pipes for correct lengthUse jigs and fixtures to straighten auger assembly after the welding processPrepare the galvanized discharge tubes for assembly, and install the augers in the tubesCut aluminum extrusions to required lengthUse jigs and fixtures to assemble aluminum components and tack in placePerform structurally sound and cosmetically appealing welds in a variety of positionsInstall steel sub assembly components on aluminum tank structureUse crane system to lift hopper tank and install on bogie running gearWork area to be kept clean and organizedFollow all safety protocols and proceduresAdditional requirements and considerations:Have own tools including welding helmet (client does offer a tool lease program)Ability to occasionally lift over 50 poundsAbility to climb in, on, or around trailer structures to perform welds in variety of positionsMust be able to meet physical demands of job with or without accommodationAbility to stand, bend and twist throughout shiftOpportunity for 10 hour shifts as well as overtimeNSC Staffing values our employees and is committed to offering meaningful employment in safe workplace conditions.
