Job DescriptionSenior Project Manager - Heavy Civil ConstructionWe're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a confident leader who can manage large, high-stakes infrastructure projects while driving results, building partnerships, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule.Industry Focus: Heavy civil, bridge, structural steel, and infrastructure constructionKey Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of project delivery - ensuring safety, profitability, and schedule complianceServe as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teamsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the project lifecycleDirect project team members including APMs, engineers, superintendents, schedulers, and othersOversee the project hand-off from estimating to executionEnsure all project documentation, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and reporting are timely and accurateSelect and negotiate with subcontractors and vendorsMonitor and adjust work methods in the field to stay within budget and timeline targetsEnsure strict adherence to company and regulatory safety and quality standardsCollaborate with safety and quality departments to manage inspections, audits, and complianceEngage in broader company initiatives to drive continuous improvementRequirements:10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil, bridge, or structural steel constructionProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projectsBachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferredActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferredClass 1 Railroad experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning, leadership, and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to travel as neededThis is a high-impact leadership position with growth potential and visibility across major civil infrastructure projects.
