Journeyman Electrician
NASA Journeyman ElectricianWe are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to provide electrical installation and maintenance services at a range of research test facilities. The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Provide electrical installation and maintenance services to a wide variety of research test facilities operating at various voltage levels.
Work from detailed electrical schematics and prints.
Bend electrical conduit and pull both large and small gauge wiring.
Install and modify electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, motor-driven equipment, and lighting systems.
Conduct motor meggering and handle other associated electrical hardware and devices.
Potential requirement for future training to obtain qualified operator status within a test facility.

Work Environment:
Work within the Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance, and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center, providing engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. During testing periods (4 to 6 times a year), candidates must be open to working off-shift. Testing could involve working two weeks on days, two weeks on afternoons, and two weeks on nights. Shift differentials include a 7.5% increase for the second shift and a 10% increase for the third shift.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $39.40 - $39.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
