Mission: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or physical demands required. This person is recognized both internally and externally as a senior level individual dedicated to the sales account. Responsibilities: Participate in APQP Team as Process Engineering representative. Determine best method to salvage non-conforming material. Review process for material savings, scrap reduction, material-handling reduction, and operator efficiency improvements, making recommendations, and implementing upon approval. Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals. Develop and implement new production equipment to improve quality of product, improve efficiency and reduce scrap. Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling. Formulate, update, and enter Bill of Materials software system. Conduct capacity studies. Develop Internal Quotations for new products as needed. Program Water Jets. Receive, catalog, and store production parts and quotes engineering drawings. Customer supplied labels used for samples, or non-production run products are to be stored in the Engineering Department. Will review quarterly records for expiration of retention and review with Manufacturing Engineering Manager before disposal. Completes other job related tasks as assigned What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or High School Diploma with at least 3 years of industrial process related experience. At least 5 years of engineering in automotive or related field Knowledge of Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA Professional and effective communication and representation skills. Ability to sit, stand and have mobility to move around the office or manufacturing environment, when needed. Ability to conduct computer work or engage in discussion with employees.
