IT Desktop Support Engineer
Location: New BrightonJob Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)Work Mode: OnsiteJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT infrastructure and end-user support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hardware/software troubleshooting, desk-side support, and network fundamentals, along with excellent customer service skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide desk-side support and PC break/fix servicesTroubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issuesInstall, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheralsPerform desktop imaging and application installationProvide smart hands support for IT and networking equipmentTroubleshoot network connectivity and cabling issuesSupport LAN/WAN environments and basic networking tasksManage and resolve incidents using ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy)Perform root cause analysis and problem managementEnsure timely resolution of issues while meeting SLA requirementsTechnical RequirementsMinimum 3+ years of IT infrastructure field support experienceStrong knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDPExperience with: Desktop imaging and application supportPrinter and peripheral troubleshootingNetwork devices (routers, switches, firewalls)Ability to handle hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshootingExperience with end-user network cabling issuesSmart Hands SupportHands-on support for: Monitors, keyboards, micePrinters, scanners, fax machinesRouters, switches, firewallsRacks, cabinets, and patch panelsPreferred QualificationsAssociate Degree in Electronics or related fieldCompTIA A+ Certification (preferred)Vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, etc.) are a plusNon-Technical SkillsStrong communication and customer handling skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProactive, result-oriented mindsetStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAdditional RequirementsAbility to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbsFlexible to work varied schedules if requiredJ-18808-Ljbffr
