Project Controls Specialist - Transmission Projects
Location: Lexington, KY or Louisville, KY (3 days/week onsite)
Level: Open to experienced professionals or highly driven recent graduates
About the Role
We're seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support a large portfolio of 500+ electric transmission projects. This role focuses heavily on scheduling, data management, and cross-functional coordination during the early phases of project development.
You will help keep complex transmission work on track by analyzing schedules, identifying risks, coordinating with engineering and project management teams, and ensuring high-quality data accuracy across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain schedules across a portfolio of 500+ transmission projects
Develop, update, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6
Interpret and communicate schedule metrics including data date, float, early/late dates, and critical path
Support front-end project development activities
Perform data management and reporting to ensure accuracy of project information
Partner closely with engineering, project management, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain alignment
Identify risks, inconsistencies, and schedule challenges using proactive, outside-the-box thinking
Provide recommendations to improve schedule performance and project readiness
Qualifications
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Experience with Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools
Understanding of schedule logic, critical path concepts, and project controls basics
Prior utility, construction, or infrastructure project experience
Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve problems independently

Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
