Job Description Job Opportunity: Full-Time Palliative Associate Medical Director of Palliative Care ServicesOur organization is currently seeking a Full-Time Palliative Associate Medical Director for Palliative Care Services, based in Johnson City, New York. We welcome applications from both seasoned professionals and recent graduates.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a solid understanding of palliative care clinical models, including aspects such as design, business modeling, productivity, quality, experience, and equity.Assist in the development and expansion of new programs, with a preference for candidates who have experience in this area.Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship within a collaborative team of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and an Administrative Director.Foster collaborative relationships with various hospital departments to enhance primary palliative care delivery.Work a Monday to Friday schedule, focusing on both outpatient evaluations and treatments.Conduct physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and assess patients' clinical issues and healthcare needs.Document findings and create treatment plans based on patients' conditions.Participate in inpatient consultations and goals of care meetings with the Palliative Medicine Team.Engage in rounding on inpatients under the consultation service.Act as a clinical educator for medical students, Internal Medicine Residents, Family Medicine Residents, and Geriatric Medicine Fellows.Occasionally participate in clinical research activities as directed by the Medical Director.Join the UHS Ethics Committee and perform other clinical duties as assigned by the Medical Director.QualificationsBoard certified or eligible in Palliative Medicine, along with a relevant medical specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine).Ability to maintain licensure in New York State.Working ConditionsOur organization is a not-for-profit health service system dedicated to enhancing the health of the communities we serve.
