Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (RN - IR)Location: Chicago, Illinois (Onsite)Work Type: Full-TimePositions: 1Hours: 40 Hours per WeekShift Details Schedule Options: 4 x 10-hour shifts OR 5 x 8-hour shifts Shift Timing: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) No weekend requirement (unless specified by unit)The Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (RN - IR) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across pre, intra, and post interventional radiology procedures.This role requires experience in critical care and/or surgical nursing, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and procedural teams.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care Provide pre, intra, and post procedural care for IR patients Monitor patient condition and respond to clinical changes Assist in interventional radiology proceduresProcedural Support Prepare patients and procedural rooms Assist with procedures such as biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tubes, etc. Ensure proper positioning and procedural readinessPatient Care & Safety Administer medications including sedation and emergency drugs Monitor for adverse reactions (contrast, sedation, etc.) Follow radiation safety and infection control protocolsTeam Collaboration Work closely with radiologists and IR team Coordinate care plans with physicians and care teams Delegate tasks to support staffDocumentation & Compliance Maintain accurate EMR documentation (Cerner) Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiativesMust-Have Qualifications Active Illinois RN License (Required) ACLS Certification (Required) BLS/CPR Certification (Required) Experience in Critical Care and/or Surgical Nursing Experience with EMR / CernerPreferred Qualifications Experience in Interventional Radiology BSN Degree (Preferred) Strong procedural and acute care experienceCore Competencies Interventional radiology nursing Critical care skills Patient safety and monitoring Communication and teamwork Clinical decision-makingWork Environment Interventional Radiology Department Hospital-based procedural setting Onsite role in Chicago, ILAdditional Requirements Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder Must be flexible with schedule (4x10 or 5x8) Must maintain all certificationsRecruiter Submission Template -Full Name:Degree with Institution and Completion Year:Do you have an active Illinois RN License?Do you hold ACLS certification?Do you hold BLS/CPR certification?What is your level of critical care experience?What is your level of surgical nursing experience?Do you have Interventional Radiology experience (preferred)?Do you have EMR/Cerner experience?Which schedule are you open to? 4 x 10-hour shifts 5 x 8-hour shifts FlexibleTentative Start Date:Motivation / Reason for interest in this position:Reason for job change:Contact Number:Email ID:LinkedIn Profile URL:Full Address (City, State):Notice Period / Availability:Work Authorization Status:Expected Hourly Rate / Salary:Are you ready to relocate on your own expenses and work onsite in Chicago, Illinois?
