JOB SUMMARY: The Team Lead is responsible for leading associates engaged in safety, quality, production work, and working with the Production Manager to ensure efficiencies relating to the production schedule, job set-up, and completion of assigned work. This position also works closely with Case Managers on carrying out each associate’s individualized work development program to actively support VPI's mission to create integrated inclusion opportunities and community engagement for employees with diverse abilities and backgrounds. Shift: Tues, Wed, Thurs from 8:00am to 2:00pm (flexibility on days and hours) Or Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Supervises assigned production lines, maintaining required production schedule. 2. Optimizing production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality. 3. Completes all necessary paperwork associated with operations to include safety, quality, and efficiency. 4. Responsible for maintaining line set up and hourly production levels. 5. Responsible for basic equipment set-up and maintenance. 6. Responsible for lot codes and logs when necessary. 7. Administers product returns and inventory counts. 8. Performs and directs line clean up at end of job or shift. 9. Assists in teaching program participants and production employees proper and safe work techniques. 10. Motivate, train, and develop team members to meet production deadlines and goals. 11. Ensure all members of the team follow company policies and safety regulations are being enforced to meet safety compliance. 12. Assign jobs to program participants and production workers to meet their developmental goals, skills, and abilities. 13. Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Functions are considered light to moderate according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Work performed includes the ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling), and lift to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or GED (Required). 2. 1-3 years of experience as a Team Lead or similar role (Required). 3. Experience working with individuals with cognitive and/or physical disabilities (Preferred). 4. First aid certification (Preferred). 5. Strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality.
