We collaborate on everything.The Role:We are looking for an Assistant Video Producer Intern to support our Marketing Team and help bring Rowan's story to life. This is an in-person, hands-on role. You will be in the room, behind the camera, and in the edit bay. You won't be making coffee runs or sitting on the sidelines.What you will do:Assist with end-to-end video production across formatsSupport production of The Last Bolt podcast, both in-studio and remotely via RiversideEdit video content in Adobe Premiere under the direction of the Content ProducerHelp set up and manage cameras, audio interfaces, and basic production gearAssist on field shoots for clientsBring content ideas to the team and contribute to creative developmentHelp publish and manage content across social platforms using scheduling toolsAppear on camera as neededIdeate medium-form content ideas with the marketing teamWhat we are looking for:Recent college grads (within the last two years) with MFAs in Film, Creative Writing, Journalism, etc.Experience producing or editing video, whether in school, freelance, or personal projectsComprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere (this is a non-negotiable)Comfortable on camera and behind a cameraBasic familiarity with camera operation, audio setup, and lighting fundamentalsOrganized and reliable with deadlinesCurious about small business and the people who build themBonus if you've:Directed films, music videos, ads, or other content for real clientsSpent time with After Effects or motion media softwareWatched a ton of movies, documentaries, or TV showsRequirements:Ability to commute to River North, Chicago and work in-personAbility to work offsite for video shoots and travel domestically if neededNo visa sponsorship necessaryWhy Rowan:You will not be producing content for a Fortune 500 company. You will be helping real business owners tell their stories at one of the most important moments of their lives. The team is small and collaborative. The creative space is wide open. And you will leave with a real body of work.DetailsTLDR you'd be helping create documentaries and client work for real businessesThis is ~20 hours a week, in person, in our River North office.
