Data Center Technical Lead / Trainer Support

Job Title: Data Center Technical Lead / Trainer Support Location: Columbus, OH Overview We are seeking experienced data center professionals to support a large‑scale workforce development initiative tied to hyperscale data center expansion. This role is ideal for individuals with hands‑on infrastructure experience who have progressed into mentoring or leadership responsibilities .This position combines real‑world data center operations with training and development , helping prepare entry‑level technicians to succeed in live environments. Key Responsibilities Support onboarding and development of entry‑level data center techniciansProvide mentorship, coaching, and guidance on best practices and safetyAssist with server deployments, rack and stack, hardware installs, and troubleshootingTranslate technical concepts into clear instruction for newer techniciansSupport classroom and lab‑based learning environmentsPrepare training labs, tools, and infrastructure setupsMaintain documentation, reporting, and performance trackingCollaborate with leadership and SMEs to improve training delivery Required Qualifications 3–6 years of hands‑on data center or infrastructure experienceExperience working in live data center environmentsExposure to rack and stack, deployments, and hardware supportExperience mentoring, training, or guiding team membersStrong communication and ability to present technical conceptsAbility to lead by example in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Fiber, low‑voltage, or structured cabling experienceExperience in hyperscale environmentsBICSI or OSHA certificationsBilingual preferred Work Environment 100% onsite in Columbus, OHClassroom, lab, and operational environmentsFast‑paced, team‑oriented setting5 days/week onsite Compensation & Details Pay: (flexible based on experience and skill level)Contract (3 months) with strong potential for extensionLong‑term program expected to run 2+ years Why This Opportunity Work on a large‑scale data center expansion initiativeLong‑term, stable project with consistent extensionsOpportunity to move into a leadership / mentorship roleHigh visibility supporting development of new technical talent Additional Requirements Must pass BGC screening Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship) Interview Process 1–2 roundsFocus on:Technical experienceCommunication and teaching abilityLeadership and mentorship Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
