We are hiring a Resident Project Representative to support our Water/Wastewater practice in the Northeast (primarily MA, CT, and RI). This position will not be required to go into an office but will need to be within driving distance of the projects.ResponsibilitiesObserves and reports on the construction of municipal water and wastewater projects which may involve horizontal construction, new treatment plant construction and/or rehabilitation construction.Monitors and reports the contractor's adherence to standards, specifications, and design drawings and permits.Reviews contract documents, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation and provide comments, coordinate review, and record as necessaryObserves construction activities ensuring compliance with the contract and site procedures, tracks activities to review payments, prepares progress reportsMonitors that construction complies with approved current standards and specificationsObserves and photographs construction work in progressNotes and reports improprieties and deficienciesMaintains field log of daily eventsTracks and quantifies items of construction dailyMonitors project scheduleCoordinates and schedules subconsultants as neededCommunicates proactively and consistently with all involved partiesFormulates written progress reportsObserves and records material and equipment tests and equipment startupReviews and provides recommendations for submittals, pay estimates for contractors, proposed change orders, and documentation for funding and regulatory agenciesWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferredMust have previous related experience, including 3+ years of construction/field observation experienceEIT/PE a plusAbility to communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, Owner and contractor's superintendentExcellent written communication skillsComputer proficiency with Microsoft applicationsKnowledge of construction processes, means, and methodsAbility to stand and walk around for several hours observing and documenting field conditions or critical construction operations at active construction sitesValid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are requiredLI-JS1Why you'll love working for usCompany-subsidized medical and dentalCompany-paid life, short, and long-term disability401k match, tuition assistance, and moreCross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projectsPerformance-based bonuses or other incentivesWorking with the best and brightest in the industry2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the USReq ID: 11288CompensationAnnual Expected Pay Range: $85,000 — $105,000 USDWe believe in equality for all and celebrate the diversity and differences of our employees, customers, and communities.
