A fundamentally driven, opportunistic hedge fund investing long and short across debt and equity markets is looking to hire an investment team member. The team invests dynamically across credit and equities. The environment is nimble, intellectually rigorous, and highly collaborative. Investment decisions are made quickly, with deep analytical work but minimal bureaucracy. This fund has a very flat organizational structure and team members are given equity in the fund.ResponsibilitiesBuild and own detailed financial models across debt and equity investmentsConduct deep fundamental analysis, including reviewing legal documentation, credit agreements, and capital structuresUnderwrite businesses and assess key assumptions independentlyAnalyze opportunities across multiple sectorsSupport senior investors in idea development, diligence, and risk assessmentPresent investment views directly to senior leadership (CIO and Director of Research)Contribute across all facets of the investment process in a fast-paced environmentIdeal Background2-5 years of experience in investment banking (particularly leveraged finance), private equity, or credit-focused investing Strong underwriting skill set; able to critically evaluate business models and financial assumptions*Public Credit Experience Required*Experience exclusively in long/short equity without credit exposure is unlikely to be a fit
