The position is expected to be scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week.BenefitsThis is a contract role, and employer-provided benefits are not applicable.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in metal processing, manufacturing equipment, and process optimization to support a hands-on production environment in Utah.The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, quality, throughput, and operational efficiency. The role will apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes, implement sustainable improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams and may lead or support cross-functional projects. Experience with metal processing, including machining, fabrication, forming, casting, forging, or similar processes, is highly valued.ResponsibilitiesOptimize manufacturing processes, equipment performance, quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and implement process improvements.Conduct root cause analysis, process capability studies, and continuous improvement activities.Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, enhance quality, and increase process reliability.Support equipment installation, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting activities.Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.Lead or support cross-functional engineering projects, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and implementation activities.Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, engineering reports, and related technical documentation.Support data-driven decision-making through appropriate manufacturing and process metrics.Promote safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing practices consistent with applicable workplace requirements and company procedures.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.At least 3 years of relevant Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering experience.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and production equipment.Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.Ability to work onsite in Utah and perform the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.Preferred QualificationsExperience with metal processing, including machining, forming, fabrication, casting, forging, or similar processes.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Project management experience involving cross-functional engineering or continuous improvement initiatives.Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and process validation.Experience implementing measurable improvements in manufacturing quality, throughput, cost, or equipment performance.Work RequirementsOnsite position in Utah.Approximately 40 hours per week.Expected start date: August 31, 2026, subject to completion of applicable onboarding requirements.Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing and production environment and comply with applicable safety, quality, and operational procedures.Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals with disabilities, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local law.Employment is subject to applicable W2 contract terms and any required client or employer onboarding procedures.Candidates will be evaluated based on job-related qualifications and business requirements.
