Director of Volleyball DevelopmentPremier Youth Volleyball Club — South FloridaFull-Time | Leadership PositionMiami Hype Volleyball is one of South Florida’s fastest-growing and most competitive youth volleyball organizations, serving athletes ages 8–18 across developmental, regional, and national-level programs.We are seeking a high-level volleyball leader to oversee the growth, development, and advancement of athletes and coaches across the entire club.This is not an administrative desk role.This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who:– deeply understands volleyball development– commands respect in a gym– can lead coaches and athletes at scale– understands how to build systems that elevate player performance– wants to help shape the future of a rapidly growing organizationAbout the RoleThe Director of Player Advancement will oversee club-wide player development, coaching standards, training systems, and long-term athlete progression.This person will play a central role in helping Miami Hype continue evolving into one of the premier volleyball development organizations in the country.You will work directly with club leadership to:– strengthen coaching quality– improve training systems– oversee player progression– refine practice structure– elevate athlete performance across all levels of playKey ResponsibilitiesPlayer Development & Advancement– Build and oversee athlete progression systems for ages 8–18– Design and refine developmental, intermediate, and advanced training structures– Help identify what is truly required to prepare athletes for high-level club, collegiate, and competitive volleyball– Evaluate player growth and long-term development pathways– Support athlete confidence, discipline, and competitive growthCoaching Leadership & Development– Lead and support a large coaching staff across multiple levels– Conduct coach evaluations and provide actionable feedback– Help improve practice quality, drill structure, and gym efficiency– Maintain club-wide standards for coaching philosophy and player experience– Support onboarding and development of new coachesPractice & Training Oversight– Observe and evaluate practices across all levels– Assist coaches with training methodology, drill progression, and execution– Help ensure practices are structured, competitive, disciplined, and development-focused– Create systems that improve consistency across teams and programsClub-Wide Volleyball Advancement– Help evolve camps, clinics, skills programs, and advanced training initiatives– Assist in strengthening the club’s developmental pipeline– Identify areas for long-term growth within training and athlete progression systems– Support the overall competitive growth and reputation of the clubPlayer & Family Experience– Build strong relationships with athletes and families– Assist with player-development conversations and conflict resolution when needed– Help maintain a positive, disciplined, and high-standard club cultureWho We’re Looking ForThis role is for someone who:– has extensive volleyball experience– understands high-level player development– can lead coaches while also developing athletes– thrives in a fast-paced club environment– understands both structure and gym culture– is passionate about building something elite long-term– naturally commands respect through leadership, knowledge, and consistencyPreferred Experience– Club volleyball coaching or leadership experience– Collegiate coaching experience preferred– Experience overseeing multiple teams, coaches, or large-scale programs– Strong understanding of long-term athlete development systems– Experience building training systems, clinics, or player progression modelsWhat Success Looks Like– Stronger coaching consistency across the club– Improved player development pathways– Higher-quality practices and training systems– Increased athlete progression across all levels– A clear and elevated volleyball standard throughout the organizationLocation: South FloridaPosition Type: Full-Time/Seasonal
