Senior Payroll Associate

Location: Atlanta, GA. Salary: $53,000 - $55,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll changes and support day-to-day payroll functions.
Maintain and update payroll records in Workday.
Assist in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
Create new-hire personnel files on the HR shared drive.
Backup for child-support withholdings/garnishments for employees.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Process weekly payroll transmission, including submitting the wire transfer.
Generate reports requested by other departments.
Communicate with Human Resources, General Managers, and Regional Operations Managers regarding payroll questions.
Ensure accurate processing of payroll updates (new hires, terminations, pay-rate changes, direct deposits, garnishments).
Prepare and maintain accurate payroll-transaction records and reports.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Assist with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual state/local/federal government reporting.
Assist with document gathering for annual financial audits.
Perform other duties assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years recent experience with Workday software.
Minimum 3 years multi-state payroll experience.
High School Diploma required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Superior listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all employee levels, client-facing and internal.
Strong organizational/time management skills, a team player capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to read, speak, understand, and write English.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion handling confidential information.
Physical presence required in Atlanta office (hybrid: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite). Remote outside of company guidelines not permitted.
