Intern - PurchasingAre you looking for an opportunity to intern at a great organization this summer? Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking several interns in a variety of disciplines to join their team to experience an environment enriched with collaboration and learning. The internship will include a robust onboarding program, provide opportunities for professional growth with challenging assignments, an opportunity to give back to the community with a volunteer day, and will encourage interns to participate in a collaborative project with their intern peers. Individuals that will be an ideal fit for Kamatics are motivated, dependable, and seeking to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Summer 2026 internship program will begin on June 1st and run approximately 10 to 12 weeks, with anticipated end dates of August 14th or August 28th depending on availability. Interns will be expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; work hours may be flexible.

ResponsibilitiesGathering data for quotes, sending quotes to suppliers
Part Characteristic project-aligning our purchase part descriptions to the material types for ease of discovery, ordering and data collection
Admin support for the team all of which will be related to purchasing
Data collection for metrics such as on time delivery and updating contract status with suppliers
EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Management or other related discipline
ExperienceEntry level position. Related internships or co-ops are a plus.
Proficient in MS Office
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs., walk for distances including use of stairs, wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as required. Work with and around machinery, chemicals, heat, and cold.
