This role is responsible for safely positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and producing high-quality images in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. The Radiologic Technologist applies professional judgment to ensure image quality, patient safety, and comfort, while adhering to radiation safety principles and quality control requirements. The position works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Essential FunctionsReviews patient history and physician’s ordersEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperationWhen ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practiceMonitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriatePrepares equipment and suppliesSelects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parametersImplements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipmentTroubleshoots, resolves, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessaryPositions patient and performs imaging proceduresAnalyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging resultsTakes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedureEnters, transmits and reports scan resultsOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/ExpectationsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actionQualificationsEducationPostsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited program of medical radiography (required)Licenses/CertificationsLicensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice Upon Hire (required)ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire (required)Experience1+ years radiologic tech experience (preferred)BCLS requiredApply NowShare This JobFacebookLinkedInEmailExplore This LocationClick Here
