#Eng-IT-01Quality Engineer II- ManufacturingLocation: Oro Valley, AZStatus: Direct HireCompensation: $90,000 plus annual bonusExperience level: 5 years or more in a manufacturing and quality environmentSUMMARY:We are seeking a Quality Engineer II with experience in manufacturing with a preference in aerospace or electronics backgrounds. Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially FAA Repair Station experience, and leadership skills are a plus.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Quality Manager in achieving departmental objectives focused on customer satisfaction.Create documentation, devise quality tests, and define test result criteria.Engage in AS9100 involvement and internal & external auditing.Coordinate corrective actions and conduct in-depth root cause analysis.Interact with customers and suppliers through program management reviews, supplier audits, and customer audits.Monitor and utilize customer databases.Apply Lean Enterprise and Lean Manufacturing tools.Utilize statistical tools and monitor DPPM daily with countermeasures.Conduct First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102.Engage in process problem solving and improvement.Participate in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.Perform reliability calculations (MTBF, MTBUR).Analyze and report on Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).Develop product inspection plans/control plans.Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB).Oversee and coordinate tool/equipment calibration.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a quality-related technical discipline (preferred).ASQ CQA, CQE certifications beneficial.Minimum 5 years of electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least 5 years in a quality-related position preferred.Strong analytical skills to identify problems and find underlying causes.Critical thinking skills to develop solutions and improvements.Meticulous attention to detail for creating and implementing quality systems.Proficient numerical skills for statistical analysis.Strong written and verbal communication skills for relaying complex ideas.Excellent team working skills for collaboration with various teams and external partners.Working knowledge of inspection techniques, procedures, and instruments.Experience with SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma.Understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements.Preferred experience with printed circuit board electronics.Familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards (preferred).Experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, 120, & 145).Proficient in Microsoft Office products, databases, and MRP systems.BenefitsPEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
