We lead the way in closed die forging innovation for the aerospace, oilfield, power generation, mechanical power transmission, off-highway and railway industries.Position Overview:The Material Processing Operator is responsible for preparing, handling, and processing forged materials to support production, testing, and operational needs throughout the facility. This role operates saws, grinders, and other shop equipment to cut and prepare material, assists with test sample preparation, and safely moves materials using industrial equipment and overhead cranes. The position also supports general shop operations, housekeeping, and material flow to ensure efficient and safe production processes.Responsibilities:Operate band saws, abrasive saws, and related cutting equipment to process raw material and forging samples.Use grinders and other finishing equipment to prepare parts and remove defects as required.Assist with preparation of test samples by cutting and processing forged material for laboratory or quality testing.Load, position, and move materials using overhead cranes, lifting devices, and industrial trucks.Assist with unloading trucks, staging materials, and moving stock within the facility.Adjust and position workpieces using hand tools, bars, and manual handling techniques as required.Maintain shop cleanliness by removing chips, scrap material, and debris from work areas.Stock tools, supplies, and materials needed to support daily shop operations.Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.Perform general labor and production support tasks as directed by supervision.Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality personnel to support operational needs.Perform other related duties as assignedJob Requirements:2+ years of experience safely operating saws, grinders, and basic shop equipment.Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to safely handle and move materials using cranes, lifting devices, or industrial trucks.Experience reading and interpreting basic work instructions and prints.Able to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, and handling materials in an industrial setting.Demonstrates commitment to safety, quality, and workmanshipPhysical Requirements:Must be able to stand 100% of the time.Job involves standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
