Job DescriptionCommercial Lines Support Specialist – Small Business UnitJob SummarySeeking a dedicated and client-focused Commercial Lines Support Specialist to support and retain a portfolio of small commercial insurance clients. This role is responsible for delivering proactive service, risk management support, and coverage guidance while building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and bring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support day-to-day commercial lines servicing activities.ResponsibilitiesManage and service an assigned book of small commercial lines business, including renewals, policy changes, billing inquiries, and day-to-day account servicing. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members. Deliver proactive risk management guidance tailored to client operations and exposures. Review client insurance needs regularly to help ensure coverage remains aligned with changing business operations. Provide responsive, high-quality customer service and address client concerns in a timely manner. Support new business production efforts in collaboration with producers and account executives. Evaluate client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions. Coordinate and process policy-related documents, including binders, ID cards, insurance summaries, and certificates. Assist with billing activities, including invoicing, reconciliation of account discrepancies, and tracking outstanding payments. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and support process improvement initiatives that enhance the client experience. Participate in client and carrier meetings as needed. Qualifications/RequirementsHolds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license. 2+ years of commercial lines insurance experience preferred. Strong communication, customer service, and relationship management skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with agency management software, including Applied EPIC, preferred. Understanding of commercial insurance workflows and servicing procedures. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
