This role operates independently in a company-provided mobile service vehicle and serves as a frontline representative of the organization by delivering safe, timely, and high-quality service that minimizes customer downtime.The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, self-directed, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining the highest safety and workmanship standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical, structural, and electrical issues on commercial trailers in the field.Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair services including:Brake systemsSuspension componentsLighting and electrical systemsLiftgatesAir systemsDoors, floors, and side panelsWelding and minor structural repairsAdditional Duties and Responsibilities:Respond to road calls and emergency service requests as dispatched.Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours in the service management system.Communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers and service leadership.Maintain stock levels and organization of the mobile service unit.Follow all company safety procedures and comply with OSHA and DOT standards.Ensure service vehicle is properly maintained and inspection-ready.Support shop operations when mobile demand is low, as needed.Success FactorsEmployees who excel in this role typically demonstrate:Strong mechanical aptitudeReliability and accountabilityCustomer-first mindsetSafety awarenessEfficient work habitsProfessional communicationWhy work for HTI?Pace is a division of Hinton Transportation Investments, Inc.
