Electrical Design Engineer Overview We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to develop control and power systems for rugged, packaged electro‑mechanical equipment. This role focuses on creating accurate electrical documentation, supporting motor‑control and VFD systems, and integrating electrical designs into mechanical enclosures. Key Responsibilities Engineer control and power electrical systems for complex electro‑mechanical products Produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, harness designs, and wire lists Support VFD‑based motor control and closed‑loop control architectures Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to integrate electrical content into 3D assemblies and enclosures Maintain accurate, revision‑controlled electrical documentation using PDM tools Implement and support communication interfaces such as serial protocols, CAN bus, and Ethernet Update drawings and maintain all electrical files using AutoCAD and related tools Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering Hands‑on understanding of control and power system design, including VFD applications Experience developing schematics, wiring diagrams, and wire harness documentation Strong AutoCAD skills Ability to create complete wire lists and electrical documentation packages Preferred Qualifications Background working with HVAC, air‑handling, thermal systems, refrigeration, or similar packaged electro‑mechanical systems Familiarity with RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet communication buses Experience integrating electrical layouts into 3D mechanical assemblies SolidWorks experience (plus) Experience with PDM revision‑control systems, preferably SolidWorks EPDM Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
