Operator - Rolling Mill

ABOUT THE JOB The Rolling Mill operator is responsible for ensuring dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and disposition of all products produced off the mill. This also includes material identification accuracy on coil product along with test procurement. Rolling mill operators are also expected to preform maintenance on equipment during breakdowns and maintenance outages. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for identifying and procuring testing samples based on continuously changing production and testing requirements Responsible for the operation (once trained) of remote operated overhead crane Responsible for performing visual surface quality inspections and dimensional accuracy checks Ability to identify defects and communicate this defect to supervisor in clear manner.
