Expert Artisan Bread Baker

Job Overview: We are seeking a Expert Artisan Bread Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of commercial bread baking practices, with speciality in Artisan European Bread. Duties Include: Create from-scratch Sourdough bread such as baguettes, batard loaves, European loaves, ciabatta, and more. Follows all store policies and procedures Ensures the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the companies cleanliness standards Follows precise recipes and techniques for the mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking all bread on a commercial level. Completes job duties as needed to ensure the success of the bakery as a whole Qualifications: Current Food Handlers Permit Three-year minimum previous bakery experience is required Ability to work weekends and holidays Knowledge of food handling procedures and kitchen safety practices Excellent organizational skills Enjoys working with and handling artisan breads and doughs Ability to read and follow a recipe Basic math skills used to half or double recipes Must possess a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and have a commitment to working collaboratively with other bakers Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Store discount Compensation Package: Hourly pay Schedule: Day shift Morning shift Overnight shift Ability to Commute: Salt Lake City, UT 84124 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Salt Lake City, UT 84124: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
