Apply today and take the first step towards a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse (RN) with us at a Citadel Center./ph3Registered Nurse (RN) Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliProvides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations/liliProvides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours./liliEnsures assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, medication cart, medication room, etc.), resident care rooms and treatment areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner./liliDirects and supervises the day-to-day certified nursing assistant services for assigned unit to assure that care is being rendered in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations./liliTakes and records residents blood pressure and vital signs, administers catheter care, administers IV therapy to residents as ordered within license limitations, and provides respiratory care, e.g. oxygen, nebulizer treatments./liliReceives and transcribes physicians orders to residents charts, Kardex/Care Medication Administration Record (MAR), treatment/care plans, as required./liliPrepares and administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by the physician./liliCharts nurses notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as the residents response to the care./liliCounts all controlled drugs with other nurse at shift change and notifies management of all drug and narcotic discrepancies noted on your shift./liliEnsures the residents environment is as free from accidents and hazards. Immediately corrects/addresses potential safety risks as prudent and warranted./liliMakes written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of shift as required./liliAdmits, transfers and/or discharges residents as necessary to meet the residents individual needs and maintains the overall safety of other residents, staff and visitors./liliAll other duties, as assigned./li/ulh3Registered Nurse (RN) Skills and Abilities:/h3ulliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English./liliAbility to multi-task and remain calm under stress./liliAnalytical and problem-solving skills./liliAbility to organize and prioritize work./liliUnderstands and follows infection control standards, policies and procedures./liliMust be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel./liliDemonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications./li/ulh3Registered Nurse (RN) Education and Experience:/h3ulliCurrent CPR Certification required./liliNursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University./liliPossess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse./lili1 year of experience preferred./liliLong-Term care experience preferred./li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3ulliWalking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required./liliLimited potential for exposure to environmental hazards.
