Powerhouse Operator

12-hour shift position 7a to 7p & 7p to 7a, rotation monthly.Hourly payrate $38.20 per hour.Role & ResponsibilitiesAbility to be trained and follow procedures in all areas of powerhouse department including, Operate boiler and work with steamOperate turbine and work with high voltage electricityOperate gas compressor and work with high pressure natural gasMonitor and operate fire protection system including fire pumpMonitor multiple water supplies and make adjustments as neededOperate plant water softening systemsOperate plant wastewater treatment plantQualifications RequirementsTo work safelyBasic math and computer skillsGood communication skillsAbility to do water testAttention to detail with ability to react quickly and safely in emergency situationsAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionMonitor several data system within the areaPerson will be required to be trained in CPR/ first aid / AED/ BBPWill be required to make frequent rounds of entire plant in all weather conditionsWill need to have basic mechanical abilitiesWill be required to work in confined spacesWill be required to be trained and act as a Hazwoper Level 2 ResponderShift: 12 Hour RotatingDepartment: PowerhouseRate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
