Visit friendship.us for more information.We are currently seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our dedicated clinical team at Richfield in Salem, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for an RD passionate about clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and long-term care.Shift/Status:Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Includes weekends and holidays as neededPart-Time/PRN: Working up to 30 hours per weekKey Responsibilities:Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents and familiesComplete MDS assessments and participate in care planning for high-risk residents (e.g., feeding tubes, dialysis)Develop, oversee, and monitor individualized clinical nutrition care plansComplete/oversee all nutrition consults ordered by healthcare providersMonitor, document, and report significant weight changesEducate and in-service facility staff regarding nutrition policies and best practicesAttend care plan meetings, risk meetings, and interdisciplinary team meetingsMentor/Precept CDM candidates as assignedMonitor quality measures to identify residents at nutritional riskConduct audits related to nutritional programs and kitchen sanitationConsult with Dining Services leadership regarding menu planning and regulatory complianceReview nutrition and dining policies in preparation for state surveysPrepare monthly Quality Assurance reports and attend QA meetingsMaintain compliance with all facility safety, health, and regulatory guidelines Required Qualifications:Valid Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) licenseBachelor's degree requiredAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift/move over 50 lbs frequentlyStrong communication skills and ability to work with residents, families, and staffAbility to follow written and verbal instructions Preferred:Experience as a Registered Dietitian in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (SNF)Master's degree preferred Benefits (Full-Time):401(k) with employer matchHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid Time Off (PTO)Company-paid Life InsuranceEducation AssistanceVoluntary benefits (life, accident, critical illness, short-term disability)Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Why Work at Friendship?Award-winning employerInclusive, diverse, and supportive work cultureOpportunities for professional growth in clinical nutritionMeaningful work improving the health and quality of life of older adultsFriendship values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
