Laboratory Technician IV
Position SummaryThe Laboratory Technician IV is responsible for executing and analyzing as fully qualified for microbiological or chemistry testing in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques, approved procedures and Customer specifications.Pay range: $29.33 - $38.00 per hour based on experience.Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pmDutiesSupport development and review of test methods and Standard Operating Procedures and Customer specific preparatory methods 30%- 50%Executes Laboratory tests (eg. Bioburden, Sterility, LAL Endotoxin, Microbial Limits, Anti-Microbial Effectiveness, Organism Identification, EO Residual, cleaning qualifications, and test method validations) in compliance with regulations and procedures. 30 - 50%Reads, interprets and records results of testing. 5%Supports continuous improvement projects 5 – 10%Participates in investigations as needed. 10 - 15%May train Technician staff on testing processes 10 - 15%Other Duties as AssignedRequired ExperienceMinimum 7 years experience in a Laboratory with an AA degreeMinimum 3 years experience in a Laboratory with a Bachelor’s degreeFully qualified on specific testingKnowledge of microbes such as bacteria, mold and yeast; or knowledge of chemical assays and equipment.Knowledge of standard aseptic techniques and/or common laboratory equipment use and some troubleshooting.Ability to perform technical document preparation.Good verbal and written communication skills.Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions.Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals and dilution schemes.
